The Trigger

Hey !
So like I said, for a long time I’ve studied hospitality and was sure I was gonna end up manager in a hotel. I did all my high school years and my 2 first years of college studying it. I was planning to keep doing it for a 3rd year and even more. But I decided to take a year to go to United States to study for a year because it was something I have always wanted to do.
So I came back about a month ago, got interview for the school I wanted to go to before I left. I got in and was ready to go there.
But in the beginning of July, I was with my parents and my sister, talking, joking about how I would have liked to become an actress. And while talking I realised I wasn’t really kidding. So we looked up info on the acting school and how to get in. You have spend a week at the school. At the end you’re doing a performance in front of the director of the school that’s used as an audition.
I think I dared to change path because coming back from a year in the US made me feel like I was starting over, I didn’t feel like I had to keep doing what I planned to just because it was planned. Also since I came back, every time people were asking « and now what are you gonna do? » Answering that repeatedly made me realised that it wasn’t really what I wanted to do, I wasn’t feeling truly happy about it.
But it is still something that I like and already having a degree in hospitality management is an insurance for me in case the acting doesn’t work for me cause it’s really hard. But at least I would have tried ! But I’m gonna be optimist and say that it’s gonna work out !

Intro

Hey ! I’m Marie & I’m 21.
For years, I’ve studied hospitality because I’ve always wanted to be a manager in a hotel or have my own one . But after a year in United States, plot twist, I’ve decided to change everything & got in acting school.
I wanted to do this blog to share with you my new adventures in the theater, cinema and music industry.
Of course I’ll also talk about my travels & my year in California.
I’ll share a rubric with my sister Julie. We’ll write about what we do together & she’ll use it to talk about herself and what she does as a med student.
I’ll post here in english pretty much everything that I post on the other rubrics for those who don’t speak French but are interested in reading me.
Can’t wait to share all of it with you.
